Lil' Girl on the bus this afternoon: When I grow up, I want to be a dad.
Lil' Girl's sister: You can't be a dad, you're a girl. You have to be a mom.
They gave me a migraine. The gender-complex confusion, the optimism of having-a-dream, the whiney high pitched voices: it's all too much to take in without the proper percentage balance of caffein to brain juice ratio. Mr Bus Driver was no help either with his so called "mad-driving skillz" (as Tom puts it). Well, now that I've had some thinking about it, being a dad is probably a pretty cool thing to be. But it's really one of those jobs I find admirable only when someone else is doing it —preferably a man. Do you know what I mean? I wouldn't want to be a dad, that's all I'm saying.
