The Escapologist

It's Harry Houdini's 137th Birthday!!!! I wish I could escape my shackles and make things disappear too. Houdini died quite fittingly on the Halloween of 1926. Ironically, The Greatest Magician of all time was a skeptic who didn't believe in magic as a supernatural force, but instead believed in the art of manipulation and trickery. Magic after all, is the ultimate art of deception.

Do you want to know what else? Harry Houdini was not even his real name: that would be Erik Weisz. Although it is widely known that Houdini named himself after his idol, French magician Jean Eugene Robert - Houdin, he actually unknowingly took the name of the magician's wife; Jean Eugene Robert was the magician's name. It worked out for the better though.
Houdini has a far more mysterious ring to it.
