Blast From The Past

Ritchie Valens died when he was only 17 on the day well known to us as The Day The Music Died (February 3, 1959). Along with Buddy Holly and J.P. Richardson, Ritchie Valens died in the crash of their plane out of Iowa. But, today, I'm just happy he lived enough (albeit briefly) to have brought to us a taste of his brand of Rock 'n' Roll. He would have turned 70 today. But I guess it doesn't quite matter anymore; he has lived & in the end, what he left us with is all that matters. You guys should just sit back and enjoy his music today. A little appreciation is often enough to take you to forever.
